Garbage Land

Hilarious and eye opening, this book was a strong wake up call for me.  “Finishing this book, the reader feels armed.  Seldom has garbage been handled with such care.”  She sneaks into landfills, gains interviews with the most unlikely individuals, and follows the life of her garbage.  Yes, it’s true, garbage does not just magically disappear.  It goes somewhere and is simply stored.  This book made me reevaluate my own trash.  I started composting right away and reduced my waste bill.
