ISHMAEL: An Adventure of the Mind and Spirit, by Daniel Quinn
Ishmael was recommended to me about a year or so ago. I was a little hesitant because the front cover has a quote: “From now on I will divide the books I have read into two categories – the ones I read before Ishmael and those read after.” By Jim Britell. It felt a little cultish to me like the books by L.Ron Hubbard. So I put it off for awhile. Once read I can no longer look at the way humans interact the same. I immediately bought 5 extra copies and gave them to my family and closest friends. It’s a must read and always number one on my list of recommendations.
